Dear Brothers,
The Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity began the year with several exciting and meaningful events. In early September, our chapter kicked off Fall recruitment week, welcoming potential new members and introducing them to the values, brotherhood, and opportunities that Sigma Phi Epsilon represents. Throughout the week, we hosted a variety of events that allowed recruits to meet our brothers, learn about our chapter culture, and experience the strong sense of community within our fraternity. Fall recruitment served as an important foundation for the semester, helping us build connections, strengthen our chapter, and welcome new individuals who will contribute to the continued growth and success of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

After Fall recruitment week, we were able to welcome 16 new brothers: Alec Garland, CJ Kristenak, Sam Rooney, Sean Wainscott, Zach Worden, Xavier Saldana, Aidan Haynes, Kane Ankenbrandt, Enzo Santana, Gabe Chamoun, Ian Skarupa, Michael Shaw II, Nathan Bland, Karter Stubleski, Srivatsa Murari, and Oliver Guyton.

Moving into the month of October, we participated in the University of Toledo’s annual Fall Homecoming celebration. During this time, we proudly partnered with Alpha Chi Omega to take part in the week’s events and traditions. Together, our organizations collaborated on various activities such as “pomping” that strengthened our connection and showcased our shared school spirit. Homecoming week provided an opportunity for our members to engage with the campus community, celebrate Toledo pride, and build lasting relationships while representing our organizations in a positive and unified way.

Rolling into the month of November (our most eventful month), our chapter took part in the annual Relay for Life event, which supports the American Cancer Society. During the event, our brothers hosted a SigEp Shakes fundraiser, selling protein shakes and smoothies to attendees in order to help raise money for the cause. We are proud to recognize our brothers for their efforts and contributions.

The following week, our chapter held its annual Thanksgiving dinner, where brothers came together to enjoy great food, meaningful conversation, and time together. This event provided a perfect opportunity for our brothers to reconnect as they prepared for the busiest part of the semester.

Our chapter also carried out the annual SigEp Executive board election during the month of November where we spent the entirety of a day choosing qualified candidates to lead our chapter. We want to congratulate Joey Howard (President), Zach Worden (Vice President of Programming), Jeff Chopp (Vice President of SigEp Learning Community), Jameson Carey (Vice President of Finance), Carson Chapel (Vice President of Member Development), Sam Rooney (Vice President of Recruitment), Jaden Bollinger (Chaplain), Logan Abrams (Vice President of Operations), Jibril Brinkley (Vice President of Communications), and Logan Hageymeyer (House Manager). These ten dedicated and committed brothers have demonstrated strong leadership, and their efforts will play a vital role in shaping the future of our chapter.

After elections, our chapter hosted one of our most impactful service events of the semester, Sunshine Communities x Golf. This event provided brothers with the opportunity to support Sunshine Communities while engaging in a meaningful and enjoyable service activity. Through teamwork and active participation, brothers helped create a positive experience for all involved while reinforcing our chapter’s commitment to service and community engagement. Events like this highlight the importance of giving back and continue to strengthen our connection with the local community.

Near the end of November, our chapter had the honor of celebrating as Brother Carter Wheaton Rodriguez lavaliered Erica Wright. This special moment marked an important milestone and was shared with brothers who came together to support and celebrate the occasion. We congratulate Carter and Erica and wish them continued happiness as they begin this next chapter together.

Lastly, our chapter would like to recognize our graduating seniors. These members have displayed our cardinal principles to the fullest of their potential during their time with Sigma Phi Epsilon. They have proven to be impactful leaders within our fraternity and across campus, achieved academic excellence, and truly symbolized the meaning of brotherhood. Congratulations to Brendan Burke, Nathan Chociej, Devon Legendre, Colin Conlin Adkins, Sam Schaeffer, Roshan Sirole, Patrick Jacoby, Nick Beekman, Thomas Rega, Carter Wheaton Rodriguez, and Likhit Kodela on their achievements. We wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We will make 2026 our best year yet.
