Dear Brothers,
We hope everyone had a good summer. We are excited for the 2024-2025 school year and all of our upcoming events. We recently kicked off the year by hosting our annual Balanced Man Scholarship dinner which is an event dedicated to honoring the 25 finalists of this prestigious award.. The Balanced Man Scholarship or BMS is a historic and honored tradition that recognizes young men that embody the fraternity ideals including Sound Mind and Body. More than this, the BMS provides us with the outlet to reach out to potential members that can contribute to the overall betterment of our chapter. Our current SigEp members spent the summer interviewing incoming freshman to the University of Toledo and down selected 25 finalists to receive this prestigious award. These 25 young men have excelled in academic excellence, demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, participated in community service, all while maintaining a well-rounded personal balance.
The night started off with a speech from our very own Stone Young who played a pivotal role in organizing and managing the University of Toledo SigEp Balanced Man Scholarship committee this summer followed by a speech by our very own President Brian Frisch. The night continued with an inspiring and enlightening speech from the Grand Chapter president of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Brad Nahrstadt. Lastly, we announced the recipients of the BMS which was split into the $100, $250, and $500 categories followed by one finalist receiving a grand total of $750. Overall, The night was filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment and we want to once again congratulate our BMS finalists for their hard work and achievements.
